2007 In Review

Lowlights

As nice as this year's "highs" were in the black community (that list is coming next), the good stories got significantly less press than the following incidents, which will hereby be known as "lowlights." And there were more than a few of them to choose from this year, when it seemed like we took two steps back for every step we took forward. I compiled this list of lows not to be negative, but to put all of 2007's ridiculousness behind us so that we can have a more positive, productive 2008. Deal? Deal.*

Wasn't one of the really low lights, when so many of your commenters stood up for Hillary Clinton? Particularly after she called Obama a drug dealer? Just wondering…

Happy New Years, Billie!! And, no, I'd say that was a highlight. She also didn't call him a drug dealer. There's no footage or a quote where she said "Barack Obama is a drug dealer."

Did anyone stand-up for Hillary when Barack's campaign manager hinted that she was responsible for Benazir Bhutto's death? I mean, I've been on vacation, but I'm just going to go out on a limb and say that you didn't come here to say how terrible that was. Did you?

Forget about all the dumb shit, Barack will probably win Iowa and then we'll really have a cock fight on our hands. Things like the drug dealer and Bhutto stories are meant to take our attention away from looking at serious issues. So, who cares about that stuff anymore? I don't. (but I will Stan for HC when needed)
