50 Cent And Ludacris To Play Versions Of Themselves In The Movies

Struggling actors out there surely felt like killing themselves when they found out that 50 Cent’s ass is going to be co-starring alongside icons Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino in a new film, instead of, say, an actual thespian. In the movie, Righteous Kill, 50 Cent will play a drug dealing police informant. In other words, he’ll be the type of guy everybody hates. Hmm. Maybe he will do a good job.

In other casting news, Ludacris is set to appear in a new Guy Ritchie (aka Mr. Madonna) flick, which will also star Thandie Newton and Idris Alba. He’ll play an American rapper.

Wow. The two of them are stretching themselves thin with these very ambitious, completely foreign roles.

When will black people realize that we are always cast as rappers or drug dealers on purpose. This is the way America sees us. Low-class, ignorant, and corrupt. We seem to be attracted to roles like these for some reason. I guess Hollywood feels that no one would take such a stereotypical role except for some ignorant ass rapper.
I wouldn’t see either of these movies if they were free.

Personally I’m pleasantly surprised @ Luda’s acting chops of late. Doing a Guy Richie movie is the sad part of this story. Somehwere Andre 3000 is wondering what happened with his acting career after the disaster that was Revolver (Guy Richie). It put the final nail in the coffin after the hot-garbage that was Idlewild.
