WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S PART 65 It's at times like this when I love my city the most. Two 60-something New Yorkers are in jail on check fraud charges after they wheeled their lifeless friend, who they had just found dead in his apartment, to the check-cashing place so they could cash his $355 social security payment. The only problem was that the guy was obviously not alive, and, after a crowd formed around the body, which the guys left on the street while they tried to cash the check, NYPD patrol took notice. In hindsight, I'm guessing the fools realize that this probably was not worth $355.
