STRAIGHT UP NOW TELL ME Superbowl producers surely have not recovered from the publicity shit storm that was "Nipplegate," so it sort of surprises me that they would choose Paula Abdul — a live wire if there ever was one — to join Tom Petty and other artists for this year's show. As of now, it's just a rumor, but if Paula Abdul really does a medley of her greatest hits during halftime, I'm so tuning in. Whether she pulls a Britney-at-the-VMAs or blows us all away with her surprisingly-not-rusty dance moves, I predict her vocal performance will be "a little pitchy."
