OWNED Oprah Winfrey sold her Oxygen network to NBC Universal — to the tune of $925 million — just a few months ago, but she's diving right back into the network-owning biz with a new venture. In a 50/50 deal with Discovery Communications, Harpo Productions will debut the new network, which takes the place of Discovery Health Channel, in 70 million homes by 2009. Its title? OWN — short for the Oprah Winfrey Network. Genius.

Good for her. Oxygen wasn't appealing to me, but I wasn't the target demo. Discovery Health sucked. It'll probably be another channel I don't watch, but I can't knock her hustle. As the youngins say…get that guap!

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I actually had no idea she was responsible for Oxygen. I thought it was just that trashy show about basically gutter women living together and yelling in each other's faces.

OWN is a much better name than Oxygen too. Does this mean there's no more Discovery Health?

I hate to admit it but 'Bad Girls Club' on Oxygen is my shit! Ghetto, trailer trash bitches make my world go 'round.

Yea, I think Discovery Health is getting 187'd. Is it just me or has Discovery Channel taken a dive in recent years? I mean, how many more myths can the Myth Buster dudes bust?

I'm all about the National Geographic and The Smithsonian channels. LOVE THEM!
