BETUK? Despite some unrest on the homefront, BET is spreading its wings. On February 28, BET will launch in the United Kingdom with a roster of it's U.S. shows. In time, the network expects to recruit British programmers to develop shows, says Michael Armstrong, GM of BET International.

"For the U.K. version of BET, we will be giving BET's U.S. content a regionalized look and feel that reflects the U.K. marketplace, and as we grow and develop the channel, we look forward to partnering with the U.K. creative industry to give BET an even stronger British accent," Armstrong said in a statement.

BET can go spread butter for all I care. They suck, they're trash, and I'll never watch that channel again.

To me, this is silly. BET is looked at by most of society as a depiction of black culture. verbatim, if it was the case that BET showed the spectrum of blacks in their programming i would be all for it. but this is not the case,s o i am forced to call it another case of a black company gone tom foolery. I'd only care if BET were still black owned, but it's not so this really doesn't mean much.
