MOMENTUM VS. DELEGATES Barack Obama won the Texas Caucuses, which are secondary to the larger primary that Hillary Clinton won (narrowly), but definitely ease the blow in terms of delegates. Analysts predict that Obama and Clinton will basically split Texas's delegates down the middle. Obama's camp is stressing this fact, and the overall delegate lead he still holds. The Clinton camp is stressing the momentum she surely gained after coming out on top in Texas and Ohio. Since this contest is going to last until the end of the summer, neither the numbers nor the momentum seem to matter much right about now.
Neither can get enough delegates to get to 2025 so it'll go to convention where HRC will argue she has won all the big states and Barack will argue that he's won red states that were historically Republican.
It all comes down to who can sell their arguments to the super delegates better.
Obama got ROUTED, and has proven he's Only capable of wining small caucus states, which are inherently non representative of the population.
After this election year, the entire caucus systen needs to be scrapped for the good of the party.
Welcome back Hillary!
I'm on a DNC conference call and was just told that they only have to get to 2024 delegates. WTF? I didn't know that. Don't really understand the reason given and I don't have the balls to ask her to repeat it. LOL.
The old me is wondering who performed better in the possible swing states (PA, OH, FL, etc) because that person would be a better choice (strategically, which means zero to both the DNC and most dem voters).
The new me is thinking that both camps need to STFU until the end of the summer.
Hill won FL.
As a Florida voter, I want my voice to be heard. The governor of FL and MI have released a joint statement that they want either the delegates to be seated and/or allow another primary.
I want my mama's rice and beans to count, dammit!
