AMERICANS ARE STUPID Despite Barack Obama's controversy over his reverend from the Trinity United Church of Christ, one in 10 Americans still think the man is Muslim. Conservatives, less educated voters, the working class, and people from the South, the Midwest, and rural areas are most likely to embody stereotypes believe Obama is Muslim. Interestingly, those who say they know about the Wright scandal are just as likely as those who didn't know about it to think Obama is not Christian. In a January poll, 4 percent of respondents used the word "Muslim" when asked to describe Obama. What can you do but roll your eyes?

Some people insist on remaining willfully blind. They know that Obama isn't a Muslim, but it's a convienent excuse to cover the real reason they won't vote for him. It's a lot more acceptable to be biased against a Muslim, than to outright admit they won't vote for him cause he's black.

Wow, that is ugly! Probably the same 1 in 10 who think gays should be institutionalized.

I know he isn't but if someone, anyone, was Muslim, in what way would this stop them from being a good, capable, efficient president?

Don't beat me, but sometimes I think literacy tests before voting should be required. Cause anyone who still believes he's a Muslim probably shouldn't be allowed to vote.

If he was Muslim, then who really cares?

"Conservatives, less educated voters, the working class, and people from the South, the Midwest, and rural areas…"

Speaking from memory, I think the figure was 1-in-5 Americans who though he was Muslim or some form of non-Christian, so there is the blessing of Rev. Wright, more Americans now believe Senator Obama is a Christian.

All publicity can be good publicity, especially when you have a candidate who can artfully represent himself, therefore the more they try to push the Rev. Wright issue, the more Americans become aware of the Senator and his religious faith.
Did you notice the recent polls, they spent two weeks beating up on Obama and accoring to the polls Hillary ended up with the bloody nose.
