I find that you can often find blk models in and on the covers of European Vogues more often than in/on American Vogue. Although it was not always this way, back in the 80's there were plenty of blk models on the cover of Vogue. The shut out is partially the fault of Anna Wintors.

We all know how much Italians love black women.

I really hope Italian Vogue go ahead and do this; it'd be such a great message for all the other fashion magazines.

yay, italian vogue! i've always preferred italian vogue to the other vogue mags. imo, it's always a bit more edgy and fashion-forward. nice to see that it's more forward-thinking, as well!

I'm so fucking excited. The sad thing is it happened after miuccia placed Jourdan on the runway. *SIGH* those italians are some trendy fucks.

Before Anna Wintours came along there were many black models on the cover of vogue during the 80's. Back when Dianna Vreeland was in charge, she hired Andre Leon Tally by the way, and she supported more than one black model too.
