LAPD AGAIN PROVES INFALLIBLE "Los Angeles Police Department officials announced Tuesday that they investigated more than 300 complaints of racial profiling against officers last year and found that none had merit — a conclusion that left members of the department's oversight commission incredulous. It is at least the sixth consecutive year that all allegations of racial profiling against LAPD officers have been dismissed, according to department documents reviewed by The Times."

I think Los Angelenos need to demand a recount! Are you flipping kidding me?? How can every single complaint be dismissed, they're not even trying to put on airs for appearance. They're like "screw it, yes we profile by race and there isn't a thing wrong with this, and you can't do a thing!" Hmph!

My dad, in a momentary lapse of sanity, accepted a position as the head of personnel of the LAPD a while back. He's worked for the city of LA in many capacities over the years, so to someone who isn't a "crazy leftist activist" like me, it wasn't the most incomprehensible move. He had some inkling, but didn't really get why I was incredulous.

Fast forward a few months and he's hot-steppin' it outta there. When I asked him why, all he could say was, "Those people are CORRUPT." I was like, "No shit, Dad."
