THE 'WHITE = WEAK' STEREOTYPE REARS ITS HEAD "A Jacksonville high school student was recently beaten and battered at school by three students he said he didn't even know. Witnesses to the attack told police Forrest High School sophomore Karl Koch Jr. was targeted because of the color of his skin. 'They started closing in, and all I remember is getting hit,' Koch said. Koch's wrist was shattered and six screws and a plate now hold it together. He also has nine stitches above his right eye. Two 15-year-old students and one 17-year-old student were taken into police custody and charged with aggravated battery in connection to the attack. 'I just seen them around school a few times and never really talked to them,' Koch said. According to the police report, one of the suspects said, 'Look at the white boy, he looks like a victim,' before punching Koch in the eye."
This was very unfortunate. I don't like young blks targeting yt victims anymore than I do the reverse.
Agree Noir, it is not acceptable either way.
There's a general pecking order when it comes to physical dominance in our culture. However, the meek have already inherited the earth.
Wow some kid got beat up at school…
This is news?
Dont worry kid, in a few years when they'r gonna come in your office to ask you for a raise, all you will have to say is shut the fuck up and go mop the floor!
Payback is a b*tch
1 vs 3…who's weak?
Thats a hate crime! wheres Rev Al or someone else to defend this poor kid. Of course no one cares and the media won't cover it. If something is wrong one way, it should be just as wrong the other way.
Clearly this belongs on Stormwatch's forums.
Lotto, if your comment is based on the assumption that Al Sharpton or "someone else" is flying across the country in defense of every kid bullied because he's black or every person discriminated against because of the color of their skin, you are quite mistaken. "The media won't cover it?" The media did cover it — how else would we know about it? Do you think we hear about every racially motivated fight — white against black, black against white, Hispanic against black, white against Asian — that occurs in this country? That occurs in the high schools of this country? Hell no. In my high school, I witnessed two white kids pick a fight with a black kid, and during the course of the fight they pelted him with racial slurs. Honey, Al Sharpton didn't come. Neither did the police.
I'm certainly not defending these kids, but give me a break. I don't think anyone would read this story and think that what these kids did wasn't wrong. But it's not a crime that's being ignored. The perpetrators were arrested. They've been charged with a crime — and who knows if a hate crime charge is pending. The "Where's Al Sharpton" question whenever a black person does something racist is wearing a little thin. But I'm sure you could go organize a protest in Jacksonville if you were so inclined.
@ tribalace
How predictable that someone who once said, "Blacks do not have to worry about their racism, there is nothing for Blacks to fix," is now suggesting that a story about violent black racism belongs on a white power Web site.
Looks like something needs to be fixed.
Your posts are comically anti Black Cord.
Don't be mad at me for posting that this same article would fit in nicely with Stormwatch's message, I bet its on their site right now.
Black racism is a reaction to white racism, where as whites seem to be naturally racists. This is something they ignore and this is obvious.
Throughout history Black people have been very accommadating to whites, they've infiltrated most of our families without serious problem in the majority of cases.
It is telling that you don't see the difference between white racism and Black racism. Let me spell it out for you and others of your ilk, if whites weren't racist, Blacks wouldn't be either.
Black people did not start this country's race problem.
Calling a white boy a "white boy" is not racist nor is beating a white boys ass.
Beating to death a Black boy for whistling at a white woman however is racist.
Can you see the distinction? I doubt it.
You assimilationists are holding Black people back just like the willfully ignorant who celebrate stupidity and mental weakness among us.
@ tribalace
"Calling a white boy a 'white boy' is not racist nor is beating a white boys ass."
Oh, shattering a young man's bones because of the color of his skin isn't racist? I think that's the most frightening thing I've ever seen you write, and that's saying something!
Yes what I said was shattering someones bones because of their skin tone is ok…
That is exactly what I said.
You sure you're not some plant from Foxnews?
Because you sure do share their reading comprehension skills.
You are obviously of the camp that believes racism exists in this country because Blacks just wont let the past go.
Calling a white person a "white boy" is racist! Maybe we don't undestand it because were not white. I've seen a ton of white kids get mocked and beat down because they are "whiteboys". I find it offensive and wouldn't want a white person to tell me how I should feel when I'm offended by something they call me.
Calling someone white boy is not racist.
That's just a stupid belief playing to the whole white people excuse that "Everyone is Racist, not just us".
Kenyan the statement you made "Maybe we don't understand it because we're not white" just proves that you are white and an idiot.
question then: if a white guy called you "black boy," would you be offended? I know it's a bit different for women because I've seen women of all ages referred to as "girl."
My opinion is that it depends on the context. If you're assaulting a stranger for no apparent reason and happen to mention their race while doing so, I don't think it's unreasonable to infer that it is racist or a hate crime.
tribalace, all people are at least a little racist. I tend to find that the people who are unwilling to admit that they are even remotely racist are white, especially young white liberals. Also, name-calling because someone's opinion differs from your own is pretty lame.
Oh, and by "people," I'm referring to Americans. So sorry. You can't be raised in this country without being a little racist.
I apologize for calling Kenyan an idiot.
All people are not a little racist.
This simply is not a true statement.
Calling me a Black boy would offend me now that I'm 31 years old.
When I was a Black boy, no, I was called that all the time.
Let's agree to disagree on the people being racist bit. That's a discussion for another board or a Thread Bare post on a slow news day.
