sweet16.jpgJUST DESSERTS In a rare moment of creativity mixed with a small dose of social responsibility, the folks at MTV decided to revisit some of the brattiest cast members — including Cee-lo's insufferable spawn — of the hit show, My Super Sweet Sixteen, by sending them off to live with families in remote areas of third world countries. Although, I don't know why they would do that to those poor people in Peru, Thailand, Kenya, etc. Don't they have it hard enough as it is? [Jezebel]

How said is it that TRAVEL is being used as a form of punishment? And, how scary for the world and our standing in it that those kids are the default ambassadors for American teens? We're all doomed.

I can't wait for the premiere!

I saw a preview. All the kids were crying when their families confronted them with this idea. Then they were complaining in the villages, etc. when asked to work. The people in the countries were shown saying the kids were rude and spoiled.

I will say they had to do some gross tasks like pick up animal waste. But,I too will be watching!

I saw the preview during The Hills finale (yeah I admit I watch the Hillls! lol) It looks pretty good. I can't stand watching some of those brats yell at their parents on Sweet 16. Can't wait!

I think this will make a good show. Its not only travel everyone. These kids will live like a person native to the village.

There was a show in the UK recently where a group of teens, who loved cheap fashion, were sent to India to work in sweatshops, with predictable consequences. Cue crying, swearing, learning and growing - at least for some. Personally, I think all those spoiled brats on My Sweet 16 should be Tasered, but hey. Send them to a Third World country - if their parents can't teach them values, respect, and appreciation for just how fortunate they are, then their experiences just might.

Oh, and have their parents never said to them, 'We're rich. You just live here!'? :-)
