Babies Love Obama And Vice Versa

I've never understood the phenomenon of passing your babies off to politicians for photo ops, although it seems to be a widespread practice among political rally attendees. Leave it to Barack Obama to inspire a phenomenon within a phenomenon. Web sites dedicated to photos of Obama with babies are cropping up on the 'net. Two of my favorites shots are above. Although they aren't of babies per se, the looks of delight on the faces of the young black boys warm the soul. Imagine the self-esteem boost that Obama can given an entire generation of young African Americans.

As does the look on Barack's face. And though the cynic in me says he could have just been "posing", it's believable and nice to think of all the hope (it's Obama, after all) he prayers he has for that little guy.

That's how I look when I'm holding my little guy and thinking that way, at any rate.

Side note: They say kids have a sixth sense about folks. Let's let some kids sniff out Palin (but not her own!)

I have much too much respect for the institution of marriage to crush on Barack Obama, but if he had an identical twin - or even a clone - with the same character, intellect, ambition etc. I could most definitely be stalkerish. Barack is some kinda man!

these are sooo cute!

It's nice too, as it's displays an image we need to see more of, black men in parenting roles (in the first doc) and the second one is just adorable!

BTW,I know there are a lot of black men take care of their responsibilites. I should know, I was raised by the coolest Daddy that ever lived!

Damn, those kids are happy. My younger relatives probably just see him as the man that interrupts their wiikends. I'm sure they mutter obscenities every time they are reduced to playing the DS and/or PSP because Obama's on. If they met him, they'd probably ask him to save his TV appearances from Monday to Friday afternoon.
