From the AP: "BET starts a weekly news program on Friday described as a cross between Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher with a black perspective. Called "The Truth with Jeff Johnson" and airing at 11 p.m. on Fridays, the program stars a BET personality who has also been an activist for the NAACP and People for the American Way. Its debut is timed for the Democratic National Convention."
I'm excited. Not only is this man intelligent but he is gorgeous. Great move for BET…For once.
I am so excited about this. Not only is he intelligent, opinionated, and an ordained minister, but he is gorgeous. Well done BET.
I'm still scared about it. After all… it's still created by BET.
This is good but I want to see good old 11pm news on BET too.
Why have it air at 11PM on a Friday?
Its almost as if they put it in a time slot so can fail…
I hope he stops calling himself Cousin Jeff.
If Debra Lee is involved in anyway she will find a way to make the show ghetto; like for instance interviewing idiot rappers about their political views.
And ditto what Esteban said.
Jeff Johnson is pretty good. I'm not sure how long it is, but it should come on at least Mon-Fri with a better time slot. I mean, they seem to have material for The Black Carpet Mon-Fri don't they.
What Esteban said.
