Okay, someone needs to explain to the Daily News about black girls and hair. Because this little story below sounds both extremely plausible and very forgivable. It was raining. And who knows how long it took to style that wig.
Is Beyoncé putting her 'do before her fans? Spywitnesses on the set of "Cadillac Records" in Harrison, N.J., tell us that the diva, who plays Etta James in the flick, ignores kids who wait for hours to get her autograph and instead seems to concentrate on keeping her coif covered. Yes, it was drizzling out, but Knowles ran past cheering fans in a phalanx of bodyguards, all holding umbrellas over her. When she emerged later, she had a blanket over her head, says a source. Meanwhile, the spy adds, co-star Adrien Brody "goes out, talks to the kids, signs autographs and everything."
Also, Beyonce is a much bigger star than Adrien Brody, and it's surely a much different situation when she decides to step outside to talk to kids than when Brody does. Plus, it was raining.
LOL! Let 'em know Lauren.
I think I may have to see this flick to see how well she pulled off Etta.
Yes, Duh! It was raining. She came back out, didn't she, once she had her hair blanket, lol? What more do they want?
If she had stayed and got wet, they woulda been like, "Beyonce looked a mess yesterday on set…."
I'm sure many of us have missed out on exciting situations (example: spontaneous skinny dipping) b/c we didn't want out hair wet. Fuck those fans!
If she has umbrellas she could have paused for a moment, just to acknowledge them or something..but thats how that wannabe actress is…not that its news anyway.
That strikes me as a little diva-ish particularly because she had the bodyguards with the umbrellas. Maybe she should have went in the trailer, put a scarf over her–head-nighttime doobie wrap style, and came back out. Then the fans would have loved her to death. Although sadly the media would have torn her apart. Can't win for trying…
Hey…
A friend of mine was trying to have a long drawn out convo with me yesterday outside and it was misting rain. I had to end that convo real quick and get to my car. I could feel my hair doing some crazy things.
Is this really a story? Really?
Obama should make a speech about this, too.
Wait, he didn't cover a black woman's hair in his speech? So much for ground breaking.
Maybe she had to pee. Or Maybe she just got her period. It happens, you know.
