Beyonce Tries Something A Little Different At the AMAs

Were you aware that "Irreplaceable" can double, pretty effectively, as a country song? Well, country duo Sugarland decided to let us know when they performed the R&B tune with Beyonce (not Sasha, unfortunately) at last night's American Music Awards. I would have liked more dancing and a lot less Sugarland, but, you know. Can't always get what you want.

I LOVED this performnce. First, the chick from Sugarland did a great job and that band might just end up in my collection now. Second, Bey looked great, sounded great and did a good job at not trying to oversing the lead singer of Sugarland.

I'm also happy she won International Artist of the Year award. I rewound that part 4x (would have been more, but my boy snatched the remote) and I got teary everytime she did. ;-) I'm such a cheesy stan. LOL.

I do not appreciate country, so no, that didn't do it for me. Perhaps this is from being exposed to Vogue regularly for the first 20 years of my life, but she's looking plump. This outfit was fine but that dress she was wearing… let me stop before the stans come out.

Too late. :-) Bey is never plump. She is thick, juicy, curvy, voluptuous. Take your pick. Never plump.

To me, those are all synonymous with plump.

Plump is fat.

Uh, yeah. It's 'bout that time of year where I'm crash dieting before I see my family for NY. Mmmmm. Cabbage soup.

Everyone's looking fat. Rihanna was looking a little plump to me in the arm area. I'd rather have a Chanel Iman figure right about now to be honest.

I love curves. Big tits, small waist, nice ass and legs. Is an ideal femal figure. I don't like waifish. Very much a turn off.

I'm increasingly appreciative of the tall, gangly look that I so obviously don't have. I don't really care what's sexiest to men. I'd rather have the ability to wear mini skirts or very low cut clothes without looking like a whale or a whore.

I respect Victoria Beckham so much because she works so hard to have a body that God obviously did not mean for her to have. She looks great from her bra band down.

"whale or a whore" There's nothing in between? LOL.

Women should be curvy IMHO. Not fat. You can be curvy and wear a mini-skirt. Victoria's body is not all that. She's a skinny white girl with two cantalopes for boobs. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.

I said bra band down. You missed the point. She's not naturally that thin. It's the discipline I admire.

Maybe everybody can't be as confident as BMD, but daria, sometimes I feel bad for you. Please don't starve yourself to be like Posh. You're scaring me.

Yea, I missed that - sorry. I think Scary's body is the best of all of them. She's thin, but still has her curves. That's what I work toward.

That was an interesting mashup, but nothing special at all. Bouncy looked good though, and let's not forget the camera does add a few pounds, so….

Okay…

1) The lady from Sugarland did a decent job, but the song is soooo out of her register so she ended up almost screaming during the "Get to Thinking" parts… and why was she doing the hand motions that everyone always seems to do when they think that they are getting down…

2) did anyone else hope that they would start line dancing to the song? That would have been so great…
