Beyonce Wants To Join Rihanna Under Her Umbrella

beyonce.jpg
Beyonce, who is winding down her successful world tour, wants more international success (a la Rihanna) with her next album, according to the British duo supposedly helping her with her new material. Think more "Umbrella" and less "Get Me Bodied."

Freemasons star James Wiltshire says, "The album is going to be huge. It will rival anything the likes of Britney and Rihanna have done recently. Beyonce and her team can see where mistakes were made on the last album. It was very American, very R+B and stripped back. "They want to go for a more international sound this time. She wants to hit as many audiences as possible."

I think this Wiltshire character sort of lost all credibility when he threw Britney into that comparison. How hard is it to rival the stuff she's done recently. But if this is true, bummer. I vastly prefer Beyonce's music to Rihanna's (although I might like Rihanna's better if Beyonce was the one singing).

So basically she's selling out to appeal to the masses. Sucks.

brightstarr, why are you surprised? Expect something very pop with a bit of Latin flavor in a song or two. Expect her to drop about 30 lbs and cut down on the booty shaking.

Though I see what's wrong with her last album, her concerts seemed to be sold out around the world. Maybe, just maybe, people actually like her the way she is.

I'm sorry but I already consider most of her music to be "selling out". Pretty much all her songs are heard on pop radio. All she has to do is take out Jay-Z's guest appearances, add a guitar solo and she's there. Most R&B can truly be considered Pop now a days anyway.

Ummm…What happened to her going away for a loonnnnnggg break? I'm ready for her to take a break, and not make another album. Let peeps miss you for a change.

I just imagined her covering Britney's "I'm a slave for you." LMAO.

I'd love for her to make an album I might actually buy, instead of downloading random single remixes. She can do that after taking a nice long break with Joe Camel.

Honestly, I'm tired of Be and Ri.

The problem is that she's overexposed but part of it can't be helped because people will still photograph her even if she took a long break. I don't want to see her face (on TV, movies, magazines, ads, whatever) for a good year and then I might actually want to buy her album when it drops.

Britney needed to do the same. I don't see Rihanna that much but then I don't watch MTV/VH1/BET anymore.

Ummm….she already has international appeal and Rihanna's career is going to last half as long as hers so why is she trying to follow that formula?

if she wants to be more successful, SHE NEEDS TO STOP WRITING HER OWN MUSIC!! the girl really aint that deep so i dont think she could come up with something better than 'get me bodied" or 'bootylicious' or 'ring the alarm' i dont mean to anger you beyonce' stans but you dont get props as a SONG WRITTER if all the songs you write are juvenile and some what ignorant! SORRY.

She really should just sing "Umbrella" and get it overwith. It would of been a bigger hit if she sang it. "Irreplacable" x 4?

And how would Umbrella be any better than the songs on B-day? Seriously, if she sang Umbrella we'd be all over her saying what shit it was. She can't win with ppl who don't like her so I don't know why she is trying. At this point you are a fan or not. I don't think her songs are juvenile, I mean, she isn't Mary J. it's not like she's been through a whole lot in her life. What is she suppose to sing about? Oh, yea, right…umbrellas. LOL!

She needs to put more effort into the production of the album. She brags every album that it only took a short time to complete the album. That's not something you should brag about, cause the quality is lacking in the music. What do you have to draw from for your music if you never sit back and experience life.
