I know you've been thinking it — the perfect cure for the winter doldrums would be a night, sans hateration and drama, of course, in the company of none other than Mary J. Blige, some industry heavyweights, three hours of open bar, and delicious food! You have a chance to bid on two tickets to an intimate Mary J. Blige concert in honor of BET's Stephen Hill at NYC's Highline Ballroom.
It's all part of the Bid 2 Beat AIDS auction, the proceeds of which go toward LIFEbeat, the music industry's charitable organization dedicated to reaching Americas youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention. For more information or to place you bid, click here. The concert's Tuesday, December 4th, so act fast.
Stereohyped has teamed up with the non-profit LIFEbeat and the Bid 2 Beat AIDS charity auction to raise awareness and provide support to the AIDS community. All funds generated go directly to LIFEbeat.
$699?!
If they want to make the most money, they should get George Clooney to french some rich woman. They raised $350,000. Set up a kissing booth and by the end of the day, they'll have a ridiculous amount of money. Since it's the music industry though… who are sexy singers/artists?
This week has been full of AIDS benefits here obviously. I am low on funds so I could not give as frely as I would have liked.
Does every AIDS benefit have an open bar? I went to a silent auction last night for some AIDS charity and I am nursing quite the hangover. I've probably pissed out a gallon of Smirnoff today. TMI, yes, I know.
Why is World AIDS Day on a Saturday? I think people are more willing to do things that don't interfere with their regular schedule. I should really start volunteering again with PP.
Okay. Signing off. Really this time. 3 people have been waiting for me.
