The intelligence of our popular rap stars will never cease to astound, impress, and delight. Just when it seems that the bad press surrounding rap music, which we can all agree is not so well-represented by the guys who make the evening news, is dying down, something brilliant happens.

Take Birdman, for instance. Yesterday, he, along with an entourage that included his wife, his brother, and 13 others, were riding around Tennessee in an RV that made an improper lane change, drove a tractor trailer off the road, and conveniently reeked of marijuana smoke after the cops pulled it over. Inside the vehicle, cops found a pound of weed in a trash can, plus an assault rifle, a 9mm handgun and a magazine for .45-cal. handgun. All 16 people were arrested for pot possession.
