Children of the '80s and, well, children in general, have spoken. The wildly successful Transformers movie and the animated Ratatouille came in at numbers 1 and 2 on the holiday weekend box office, with the sci-fi throwback earning $67.6 million after having a record opening last Tuesday.
The combination of '80s nostalgia, women wanting to see Tyrese and Josh Duhamel all sweaty and heroic, and the hoilday must have brought movie-goers out in full force. Check out the rest of the weekend box office after the jump.

Transformers was great. Too much product placement though.
Well…actually…the overbearing amount of product placement in that movie was terrible.
My boy saw it. He said it was great. He's gonna take me to see it this weekend again and Harry Potter (that's what I really want to see!!!)
