Since we all know that Obama both denounces and rejects the controversial minister, the answer’s pretty easy. Erykah Badu “salutes” Farrakhan in a song on her new album, New Amerykah, and went so far as to praise the Nation of Islam leader, who Obama, among many others, denounced (and rejected) for his anti-Semitic comments, during a press conference in Israel last month. ‘She paid tribute to him in [her song] “Me,” she says, “because everyone else is afraid to, because everyone’s ganged up on him and he’s blackballed in this country.”‘ So are you saying you just support Farrakhan, Badu? Or do you support and accept him? |
