Celebrating Stereohyped's One-Year Anniversary

STEREOHYPED TV?

We here at Jossip Initiatives were really into video for a couple of months late last year, and I awkwardly tried my hand at some on-camera work (look for more of that this year). My favorite video is from Chris Brown's album release party. Here's what I said then:

Chris Brown's major, Target-sponsored record release bash went down last night at NYC's Tenjune. And, just for you, I stood outside, shoving my microphone in famous (in some cases, I use the term loosely) peoples' faces as the winds from the Hudson River froze my extremities. You'll see Styles P, Keith Robinson of Dreamgirls fame, who also stars in This Christmas with the man of honor, BET's Egypt, Kat Deluna, Nik from season 5 of America's Next Top Model, Melyssa Ford, a boisterous Petey Pablo, two-thirds of TGT (that's the two T's, Tank and Tyrese*), and, while you'll see Chris Brown, you won't actually hear from him. According to the publicists, he needed to rest his voice. Whatever, divo!

Happy Birthday Stereohyped!!!! I've been a fan since it started. I am actually using some info from your Interview with Lori Tharps on her book about black hair and its history in america, for my term paper in my Black Women in the U.S. course. I love this site, it has the great balance of gossip combined with politics and great topics that are relatable and spark great debates with comments (especially the interacial dating posts, and the "Am I Black Enough for ya"). Keep up the good work.

Happy Birthday Stereohyped/Lauren!!! I am SO proud of you and this site. Stereohyped has been a great addition to my life (but no so much to my work productivity). I looked through the archives today and you have done SOOO much with this blog in the past year!!! I look forward to even bigger things from Lauren Williams in the next year.

And since you asked…..I think the first piece of greatest you can do this year is incorporate your Le Cordon Blue schooling (thanks Nichelle) into this blog. Some of us undomisticated women need great receipes and wine choices for when we try to fake like we can cook. Just a suggestion.
