Here's the problem: if black people didn't appear on Fox News, people like Sean Hannity would be able to run wild with their racist or uninformed accusations. But when black people do appear on the network, this often happens anyway. Yesterday, New York City Councilwoman Darlene Mealy appeared on Hannity & Colmes to discuss the council's resolution to ban the words bitch and ho.
Besides the fact that I think Al Sharpon-esque resolutions such as this are not the best use of time and energy from the governing body of a major city (read: pointless), Mealy should have been allowed to discuss what she was invited on the show to discuss. Instead, she found herself being forced to either defend or denounce a fellow council member who made a comment about slapping white people.
The resolution was not about race — until Fox got a hold of it, that is.

I really despise the fact that hip-hop is pretty much always associated with black culture.
Fox News is full of shit. She was talking about apples and then he started talking about oranges. I hate when their reporters cut people off during interviews. How can you ask someone a question and then when they're answering you cut them off?
It wasn't even a great segue and it came way to early. It was like a minute into the interview. What did that have to do with eliminating those "offensive" terms? Also, I love how he continually said the word "ho." He probably got off each time.
Sean Hannity is nothing but a hack (and a lousy one at that).
Fox News is trash, and I suspect that ambush was planned from the beginning, HOWEVER, the point is somewhat valid in that if youre going to ban words, phrases, etc. you cant sit here and accept a man who makes a racist comment, but expect to change peoples minds about the words they use (which are stereotypically placed on one group of people, or genre of music) and the reason the race thing even got brought up was because that same council was the one who made the first step in eliminating the racist language to begin with (ie: the n word) but not defending Fox News at all… its a trashy station, with a Pro Bush mentality that definitely throws biased news out daily.
