Damon Wayans is responsible for the latest in a disturbing trend of abortion-trivializing stunts. This skit from his comedy channel, wayout.tv, features a super hero named Abortion Man stalking a pregnant teenager and literally beating the fetus out of her at the request of her teenage boyfriend. Hilarious. Why doesn't this guy get more work these days? [WAOD]
Didn't he lose it when he hosted the BET Awards that year?
I can see an Image Award in his future, can't you?
WOW
Given that a guy recently fed his pregnant girlfriend pills to induce abortion (not with hilarious consequences) that was so funny I forgot to laugh.
I'm sure other critics will be less kind.
I'm speechless.
…
wow, when throwing around ideas for skits, why was this the one that stuck? Don't get it, don't like it.
…and I bet you Wayans thought he was being oh-so-pro-choice and edgy. Jackass.
This is absolutely not OK. Period.
It's not the subject that bothers me… I'm just disgusted at how chessy and stupid the skit was. I bet u Dave Chapelle could have made this funny as hell.
Damon Wayans tried to copyright the word 'nigger' just a couple of years ago, for 'marketing purposes'. Nothing he tries to do surprises me. But he manages to disgust me almost always.
THIS is exactly why these ProLife fanatics will never leave the issue of a woman's right to choose alone. They continue to have these images in their minds of people taking abortion so lightly. YOU CAN NEVER MAKE IT A JOKE.
Ike- yeah even Dave couldn't pull this shit off. I am officially anti Wayans
WTF is up with all these dumbasses making light of ABORTION for F#*&s sake.
What the hell has happened to humanity? Jesus effing Christ.
cosign Monica. It's not funny. It's not something any woman or girl wants to go through.
am I crazy for wanting to know what he and his son found so funny about the concept behind abortion man?
His son plays Abortion Man in the skit.
I want to know the source of why they feel that a man would feel that aggrieved by the prospect of being a father?
Maybe they believe that most men don't want to co-parent with most of their sexual partners?
That most men feel they are being 'tricked' into a relationship that goes beyond sex and fun times?
That responsibility is a four letter word in their lives?
Unfortunately, the skit comes from a truth that some people do embrace and I think it needs to be discussed openly and honestly.
Who are we as a people and culture that men can feel this way about someone they have impregnated?
It's easy to demonize Damon Wayans for putting this into the world but there must be a groupthink that he feels will appreciate the sentiments of the video and I want to hear from them…for better or for worse.
Because we need to know who and why. It's another step to possibly changing things.
