This Is Why I'm Hot

hottestmc_kanyewest.jpg
MTV’s always-controversial Hottest MCs in the Game list is back for 2008, and Kanye West is surely feeling a bit warmer towards the network, since they put him at No. One.

Lil Wayne, who made the number one spot last year, has sizz-yruped his way to No. 3.

C’est la vie.

Check out the rest of the top 10, in order, below.

I think Andre 3000 should’ve been #3!

I HATE Lil Wayne! I think he shouldn’t even been on the list!!! Why do people love him so much?

^^^ I have to agree. His style is getting worse. On one of the songs he has out now, I can’t understand a word he is saying!

Or Hottest minstrels in the game. (Minus Kanye and Lupe)
I don’t understand lil wayne, he clearly hates women (like the rest of them)and his lyrics are just disgusting.
If you are going to be a crack head, at least be a lovable one, like my Winehouse

kanye, lupe and andre 3000. End the list their because they’re on another level than all the other “mc’s” on the list.

@ *M*, on dlisted, there’s a picture of Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss’ crackhead ex hugging. It is the most hilarious thing ever and yes, she is a lovable crack head.

I guess “hot” does not mean talented and it certainly has nothing to do with artistic integrity. Like a couple other folks said, I would have been fine with Kanye, Three Stacks and Lupe.

I love Lupe :) :) :)

I wish he was # 1 but it’s all good. I love an eccentric, cool hip brother.

Thugs need not apply here.

What about Common, why was he not on the list.

I don’t really care for Common. I love “Go” and some of his other collaborations with kanYe and/or John Legend. Is he better than a good 4 or 5 people on this list? Absolutely, but he’s not a favorite.

If I must add more people, it would be Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common and Pharrell, the last two solely for their collaborations.

If we’re going for “hot” with notable talent, then again, back to my original list but add Jay-Z. My initial list

I love Mos Def’s black on both sides. Every song was banging. Talib Kweli is not bad either. Common should at least be # 8 because he looks good.

Daria what did you think about Common’s Electric Circus?

So many people hated that album but a good friend of mine loved it as much as I do.

Hated it in spite of all the Erykah touches. Including “Come Close.” I know some of your heads are going to explode with this one: I cannot stand Mary J Blige. But it was still pretty crappy even if she wasn’t on that track.

I can’t decide if Common is attractive. So sometimes he definitely is. Solid 9. Could definitely get it. Other times though, he’s like a 2 or 3. I don’t like bald men and I think it depends on my awareness of his baldness.

If it weren’t for Jay Z, I probably wouldn’t work out at all so must give him props. Pharrell and Timbaland deserve some too. N*E*R*D’s “She Wants to Move” is the BEST song ever if you’re going to be doing any sort of sprinting.
