Yesterday's Stereohyped contribution (as if daily Rewounds aren't enough) to Black Music Month was a collection of Motown photos, today's is a collection of photos of hip hip pioneers, starting with the cuddly/tragic trio, Run DMC.
Thanks for including my girls Salt n Pepa. Most would not since they did not write their on material. But they had a huge influence on young females, like myself at the time. They were cool, sexy, had style, dance skills, presence, and most importantly class. There success didn't do come by being half naked, overly sexual, raunchy, and angry.

@TiP: I so totally agree with you about Salt N Pepa!! I don't understand why they're so underrated and largely ignored.
Tip, I love Salt n Pepper but…. those spandex unitards made it so you did not need to see them naked.
