As part of their ridiculous ad campaign, the National Black Republican Association counts Martin Luther King, Jr., among its ranks without providing historical context. Instead of listing blacks who were members of the party pre-1960s, here are some living, breathing, modern-day black Republicans on which to feast your eyes. Yes, that's card-carrying Republican JJ Walker (from Good Times) pictured with the devil incarnate.

JJ is, and forever will be the cooniest of all coon a$$ coons, who have ever cooned, making up the coonery of all ex-coons, and being a coon-tastic example for pre-coons.
Anyone surprised that Don King, convicted of murder waaayy back when is a GOP'er?
Only In America indeed…
Oh god, it's way too early in the morning for a picture of Coulter, it took everything I had not to throw up my breakfast.
Totally not Dy-no-mite.
I love that you included "Carlton"….LOL…made me giggle this morning:)
LMBO @ Slick Selebrity..!
(no relation)
wow, that's a serious list of winners. roll models, all.
c–t n' coon
I have no problem with rich and/or socially conservative black folk being republicans. I do have a problem with anyone who associates with Andrew Coulter.
And to Karl Malone, abandoning the kids from your days of sowing wild oats is neither a conservative Christian value nor the wealthy person's way of doing things. The former would be there for their kids. The latter would at the very least pay good money for the kids to go away. He's done neither.
What Daria said. K. Malone's far from what would be considered an upstanding citizen.
It's a shame when the most respectable person on the list is a fictional character. Ay Dios!
Wow, what a sell-out.
And to be fair, while I don't agree with Erika Harold's political view points, I do respect her for practicing what she preaches. More power to her on the chastity. I totally respect it and it's her choice, though I do think it is wrong of her (and many others) to presume that the right choice for her is the right choice for everybody else. As an educated, attractive young WOMAN, she is proof that chastity before marriage isn't only for teens, people who plan on marrying at the age of 18 and those who can't get any.
I don't think Michael Steele, JC Watts and Armstrong Williams are bad people. I don't know enough about them to form an opinion. JC Watts is somewhat obnoxious but then all pundits are.
You know how I feel about Ann, Kid Dynomite, Clarence, Don and especially Karl.
i think if you look into the past of black republicans, you'll find that they at some point felt hurt and isolated by and from the black community at some point in their lives. maybe they were teased (or beaten up) for 'talking white,' or for wearing 'skips' or whatever. i think it's all personal, not intellectual or political. not an excuse, but possibly an explanation?
I almost threw up my dinner seeing Ann Coulter in a big picture. I wasn't ready for that.
But thank you, the JJ's expression next to her made my laugh.
Karl Malone must a fiscally based Republican only, because he certainly is not a morals & religion based Republican.

Thanks for making my day, ahahaha.
Word is they were dates at the TV Land awards. Ann Coulter's falling off. At least Dinesh D'Souza was kinda hot — for a pundit, anyway. Growing up, I heard my father hurl all and sundry epithets at black conservatives for just existing, and I just can't buy it… black conservatives will be evaluated by me on a case-by-case basis. I think we can all agree (some begrudgingly, perhaps) that there's a difference between J.C. Watts and Jesse Lee Peterson. I also continue to believe that calling Ann Coulter names and implying that she's a man is stooping to her level, counterproductive, and only serves to sully her often otherwise credible detractors. Her own words are a more than adequate petard to hoist her by.
Not all rich people vote republican. Warren Buffett realizes that it's unjust that he only pays 17% of his income in taxes; whereas his janitor pays 32%.
I've formulated the perception that being a republican (in terms of taxes) is about greed.
