Did Clinton Campaign Blacken Up Obama?
It's Getting Ugly

obamadarkened

Oh, politics! White Senator Hillary Clinton's people are today scoffing at a claim they darkened black Senator Barack Obama's skin tone in a new attack ad. The image on the left shows Obama in last week's Ohio debate, while the image on the right is a screen grab from the Clinton ad. Hmm.

"You are playing with complicated technological mediums here," Clinton campaign spokesman Jay Carson told the New York Post. "Coloration in every single screen shot looks different…It looks different in every single place."

Oddly, Carson later stated that the darker image of Obama wasn't even taken from a Clinton ad: "We don’t know what is up there, but it is not our ad." That, of course, is a total fucking lie, which you can see for yourself on Clinton's Web site.

We're having flashbacks to 1994.

He looks grayer to me. Older actually, but not darker. Kinda like a zombie, you know, really flushed and dead.

Ok, that's ridiculous. Colors vary all the time. For instance that picture looks completely different on my desktop than on my laptop.

That's why if Clinton gets the nomination, African-Americans should vote as a block for McCain.
Lets take over the Republican party. If the Dems want us back let them have to bid and grovel.

^^^ How can we take over the party when we only make up 12% of this country's population.

This is the biggest sham of garbage I have heard.

Daily Kos, who I used to respect, is having a premenstrual meltdown over this.

WHY???

Images change from TV to computer. Seriously, there are more important issues to debate over than this.

Solitaire, Gymo is right about one thing, the Black voting block is the largest single voting block for the Democratic party if they stayed home or moved to another party, the Democrats couldn't win a general election.
So in theory they could make demands on the Democratic party or become the largest voting block in the Republican party.
If you don't understand let me elaborate a little more, Whites are splintered between the two party, so they are not a single voting block, plus there is fluid movement between parties (Regan Democrats), Hispanics have an historically low turnout rate, only the Cuban can be counted on.
Evangelicals are small and split about 60/40 between parties.
Blacks= largest single voting block. If the Democrats lose them the will never see power again.
Personally I don't think Blacks have to worry about Hillary winning, just do the math and you will see what I mean.

What I see is a lot of misinformation in your post.

Blacks not voting = disaster for blacks.

We all need to worry about McCain winning the election. Hillary is NOT the enemy.

solitare, you are so right on!

It ridiculous. If it's raining on a Saturday, it's Hillary's fault. If you got a parking ticket, it's Hillary's fault. If St. Obama got a hangnail, it's Hillary's fault.

Daily Kos made this into a story. His very influencial blog which as built to UNITE Democrats and get more of us into elected offices, has turned into Obamamania central.

Congrats John McCain. You've got this in the bag in spite of the dems having essentially every advantage over you. They will screw it up and we'll be stuck with you.

Thanks Truth but you dont have to explain for me
all i am sayins is McCain has more experience and was a war hero than senator Clinton and he is African-American friendly, black could get into the Republican party and make demands that the Dems have ignored and disrespected.

Gymo, I think you are discounting the fact that Obama is still ahead in the delegates count, ahead in the percentage of votes and ahead in the amount if States won, so to talk about a Hillary win or Blacks jumping to the Republicans might be a little too soon.
So, please wait until Obama get a heart attack before taking over the Republican party.

McCain and the republican party could give two shits about blacks, the poor, gays, or anyone else who is'nt rich. To think otherwise is a special kind of ignorance, that evokes pity.

"all i am sayins is McCain has more experience and was a war hero than senator Clinton"

The same can be leveled against Obama, right?

When Obama won 11 in a row everything was gravy 'round these parts, but now that Hillary has won two big ones the O-bots are pissed!

John McCain isn't AA friendly. To be AA friendly you need to be down with social causes, education, jobs, etc. He'll align himself against issues that, historically, blacks find important. Our number one issue is education. Half of all black teenagers drop out of high school. McCain won't do shit about education. No republican before him has and no republican after him will. Why? NIH that's why. No Humans Involved. Trust.

Not defending the Republican, as I am more Libertarian in my views, BUT, remember the Democratic Party was the pro slavery party.
The Republican party was established by abortionists, to fight against the Democrats to outlaw slavery, also President Lincoln=Republican, when the Democrats returned to power they withdrew the Union troops from the South and allowed "Jim Crow" law to be established.

You dont need to call me the Republican, iam an independent:)
African-Americans would do better being a free agent, give the republicans a chance to bid for your vote, decades of support for the Dems and as BMD said AA are still suffering, to me that means the Dems dont care for AAs

In my recount of history, I forgot to mention that the White South was all Democratic (blue dog democrats), and the reason was the Democratic party was the one supporting segregation, and it only changed with LBJ because he went against his party.
A little unbiased information.

Same for the Dems.
The 2 parties don't care about anybody. They bow down to the almighty $$$. It's time POC's and especially Black people stopped regurgitating the things that been have said ad nauseum for the past 40+ years. No political party has or should care about us. They should only work for us.

Can we clear up a few misconceptions -
1. It is disingenuous at bet, and a crock is ish in reality to say that Republicans are the party of Lincoln etc…Yes, Lincoln WAS a republican, but everyone seems to ant to forget that their was an ideological swap of the parties.
2. Yes Hil w/3 of 4 on Tues but with the possible exception of RI, no wiping of anyone's floors took place. She netted around 3 delegates.
3. All this discussion of 'he can't win the big states….equally silly….as those states that vote Dem will do so in the general because of the nature of their populations….the key states, AS ALWAYS will be the SWING states, and inthose state His turnout in many cases was larger than all the Republicans combined….and many of the uber-conservatives are not going tovote for McCain
4. Finally, I don't dislike Hill, although I have lost a couple of notches of respect for her, for being called delusional et al..and for her expecting me to allow her to take credit for things for which not only she did not do, but didn't even have national security clearance to be involved in the discussions, which I expect is why the higher the education level, the higher the Obama support, but I'd vote for her if she could somehow catch up in states, wins, delegates etc…. but folks need to get realistic and acknowledge that Hillary as candidate is like a big bloody piece of meet for some damn near rabid reubs who thought they had a steak but turned out to be a rubber toys with some worcestshire sauce on it

oh, and they are NOT JUST going to seat the Delegates from FL or MI - it is patently unfair, and if they reward rule breakers, rules no longer mean anything. Blah Blah Blah the florida republicans did it - all of the dems voted for it to, it was unanimous…..

lets not lose sight of the facts…..
