The off-the-cuff, eloquent mini-speech that Donna Brazile gave during a recent New Yorker-sponsored political panel — in which she testified that the color of her skin doesn't make her inferior and her gender doesn't make her dumb — could come off as a little old-fashioned. I mean, we all know that, right? But that's before you take into account the real state of things in America today — when the opposition to the first black, major-party candidate for president is inciting its supporters to threaten violence and make false accusations based entirely, if subtly, on the fact that the candidate is not white. Sadly enough, her words are very timely. Brazile said she hopes that if Barack Obama loses it's because people disagree with his policies, not because of all of this "be scared because he's 'not like us'" bull. Regardless of whether or not her hopes become reality or her words reach beyond the people who already agree with her, they obviously needed to be said. Watch the video here.
Palin has been playing the subtle race card lately "he's not like us".
It is sad
Go Donna!
Donna Brazile is one of the few reasonable people out there when it comes to politics.
it is so fucking sad, man. What the fuck happened to Americans?
Love Donna Brazile! Dangerously smart, funny and able to drop it like it's hot with Roland Martin from Essence. It's on Youtube. Donna is a straight home girl!
Let's hope obama has a cabinet position for her….she is the voice of reason~
