Fiddy Proudly, Sweatily Denigrates Troops

At his show at New York’s Nokia Theater on Tuesday night, 50 Cent, the marble-mouthed rapper once suspected of burning down his ex-wife’s home, donned a US marine uniform – complete with cockeyed cap – for part of his set. ‘Twas an odd choice for a wartime concert, especially considering the fact that the getup was probably used to enhance Fiddy’s performance of “My Toy Soldier,” the less than patriotic lyrics of which are as follows:

This is beyond disrespectful. My cousin has been serving in Iraq since last spring & while I don't support the war, I do support the troops. I hope he does get trafted. My thought is: If you don't support our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. What a wack ass brotha.

Wow, in light of the conventional discourse surrounding the war I was under the belief that I was the only person that felt that way, (we broke it, we need to fix it, but the premise was bull and we never should've gone) Daria from GBW. how are these lyrics less than patriotic? he's talking about murdering brown people… isn't that what the marines do????

only difference is, he's only doing a song about it for entertainment. the real-life military really are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of brown folk. who is disgracing what again?
