Domestic violence and abuse is so out of control though it's nothing new. If any of you have had friends in this situation, you know that the victims seem to take it far less seriously than everyone else.

Thank God they're okay. Men like this are why I'm so pro death penalty.

Oh, a similar case occurred in my neck of the woods. Ex boyfriend came to the house though, shot and killed the mother and critically injured two of her daughters before committing suicide. Both girls survived thankfully but they're still in rough shape.

Things like this just create more violence. As I reread the story I thought what if that happened to me. While my family doesn't condone violence, there's no way my stepdad, brother or cousins would let that ish just go the way of the justice system alone.

A couple years ago, one of my students' mother murdered by her ex. Fortunately the little girl was not with her mother.

Then I read this and my jaw dropped. First I teared up at the child's protectiveness of her mother. Then I was disturbed at the cowardice of that man. What kind of a person has this little regard for life?

I can totally relate to that kid. Women find it damn near impossible b/c they're dealing with murderous *stalkers*. These fools will not let up on you. They will track you down no matter how long it takes or how far you try to run away. And when you take into account that it's do difficult to get into shelters and how much money it takes to constantly pick up and move to keep one step ahead of these obsessed fools you begin to realize just how difficult it is to escape–and live.

Please think about this story next time you hear a rap song or some boy talkin' about smackin' a "bitch." Please!

When I first read this story the other day I was disgusted. I was really disgusted when I read how there were no Detroit police units available to respond to the call after it was made.
Now that's terrifying. To think that you have no one to come rescue you after calling 911 is some scary shit.
