I don't even fuck with diamonds usually. I'm somewhat of a jewelry collector (or jewelry whore as my boy says) and I go for gems that alot of ppl don't have like prasiolite, chrome diopside, rhodalite, etc. Diamonds are overrated….except for the ones in my engagement ring. Hahaha.

Conflict diamond or not, diamonds in genereal (just like oil) cause hell for Africans. They get paid low incomes, the money is never seen by the people due to corrupt leaders and foreign corporations (DeBeers, etc). Africa supplies most of the world's diamonds but Africans are still the poorest people. The only reason "blood diamonds" became an issue is becuz they were a threat to the diamond companies. Nobody cares if it kills Africans (just like Darfur). It's the money that matters.
