After 8 months in the clink, Foxy Brown has officially been released from prison. Of course, TMZ was there to catch her as she caught her first taste of freedom. Countdown until she messes up again starts…. now!
But it's not like there's no hope for Foxy. She is all set to do star in her new reality show on VH1, which will surely be representative of the quality programming VH1 has offered the public thus far. She can also look to other rappers who faced incarceration in the middle of their careers for tips on how to proceed.
There's Lil Kim, who also starred in a reality show after being convicted of perjury, a charge for which she spent a year in prison. She not only released an album during her prison sentence, but she is now a proud judge on the prestigious show, Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.
There's also T.I., who went to jail for a probation violation in 2005 and came out to become more famous than ever. Then he got caught trying to buy illegal machine guns and things sort of went downhill, but still, he might be getting away with some community service and a year in jail. And the fans still love him!
Remy Ma just got convicted of a crime, but the whole thing has been so great for business. She's in the press all the time, and she's planning a jail house wedding. Life's never been better for her!
And DMX? Well, DMX has been arrested about 15 times, and it hasn't affected his career at all. Wait. Bad example.
Anyway, my point is that Foxy Brown, even though she wasn't doing much of anything before she got locked up, shouldn't feel too grim about her prospects. It's not like a rapper's never done this before.
thank you.
so much.
