John McCain released an internet ad today in an attempt to convince everyone that important Washington Democrats love him and that he is indeed a maverick. The ad features quotes from Howard Dean, John Kerry, Joe Biden, etc., praising McCain. Of course, the infamous line from Hillary Clinton — when she compares McCain's years of experience to a Obama's "speech" — is used to round out the ad. What isn't mentioned is that all of the quotes, with the exception of Clintons were uttered before 2006. Since then, McCain's changed quite a bit, and so has the opinion of the Dems. The DNC didn't waste anytime crafting a rebuttal using quotes from the same politicians. [HP]
