Full Circle In Court For OJ Simpson

There are pre-teens currently navigating the treacherous social landscape of middle school who were still in diapers on that fateful day more than a decade ago, when O.J. Simpson was acquitted of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Now, thirteen years to the day after that acquittal, the jury in Simpson's armed robbery and kidnapping trial will begin deliberations. Jurors were instructed to keep their focus on the current case, but is it possible for their minds not to wander back to that 13-year-old decision? He faces five years to life if convicted. [CNN]

UPDATE: O.J. Simpson was found guilty on all 12 counts of armed robbery and kidnapping. His co-defendant, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, was found guilty on the same counts. He could possibly spend the rest of his life in prison.

The all white jury is just looking for an excuse to make up for what they perceive as a "get out of jail free" card in the previous trial. Says a helluva lot about our justice system!

His ass should have not have gotten in trouble, why can't he stay in the cut. If they do relate the the events it, I hope that in jail he reflects on how it was preventable.

OJ has been looking for trouble since the day he walked free.

I'll always remember the day Simpson was acquitted because that's the day my pet gerbil died. I learned two valuable life lessons that day; life is ephemeral, and the justice system is sometimes really screwy.

He's fuck that all white jury going to hand that dude. I agree with Slick Selebrity he should have stayed in the cut and chilled. Even the arresting officer made the statement that he got off but now we got him. Peace O.J. don't drop the soap!

O.J. Simpson has had such an arrogance that the law doesn't apply to him and each and every time he got away with his crimes, that arrogance continued to grow. It is truly justice that exactly 13 years from the date that the word "guilty" should have come from the mouth of jurists, he finally is held accountable for his crimes. However, 13 years later is better than nothing and I, for one, congratulate each and every Las Vegas law enforcement officer who took their responsibilities to uphold the law as more important than waiting outside the courthouse hoping to get an autograph from O.J. Simpson. They were, like every single law enforcement officer in this country, out to get the man they knew was guilty, and I, for one, thank them for that. We all know that he got off 13 years ago due to sloppy police work and an incompetent prosecuting attorney, not due to his innocence. And Las Vegas was going to make sure they didn't make the same mistakes. They proved their case and O.J. Simpson finally has to pay for at least 12 of the crimes he's responsible for. Thank you to every law enforcement officer in Las Vegas!

In a way I'm glad he got away with the first crime. He got to spend the last 13 years watching his legacy die and now gets to spend the rest of his life paying for it. I don't even need to guess where he's going after that…

Doesn't anybody think it is suspicious that the only 2 people found guilty were black? The white guys rolled over and took plea deals, made huge amounts of money and tried to blackmail OJ and Clarence. AND….of course, the fact that the guilty verdict came on the same day of his previous not guilty finding on the murder charge. I tell you Nevada is the Mississippi of the west. Just another black man screwed by this justice system.

I remember watching the 1st trial (I'm THAT old) and thinking that 2 pieces of evidence nailed the case shut: he was taped wearing those gloves and they were obviously too small (so the "if they don't fit, you must acquit" argument was stupid); and that dog, why didn't her Akita attack her attacker? Have you ever lived with one? Any guard dog worth his kibble (and that dog was a beauty) would have fought off the assailant and there would have been knife marks on the dog and blood evidence of the killer at the scene.
I remember believing with all my heart he was guilty.
I remember driving through my town minutes after the Not Guilty verdict was read and seeing dozens and dozens of Black people literally dancing in the street.
I remember feeling sick at that sight. They were celebrating a Black man murdering a white woman and getting away with it. For those jubilant black people THAT was progress. I remember wondering if Martin Luther King would feel the same way, and I remember doubting that he would.

What I find most disapointing is that in 2008 it's ok to have an all white jury! I totally agree with Jackie that it doesn't look well to me that the white guys got off.

OJ Simpson was stupid. Yeah the jury found him not guilty 13 years ago the the jury of common opinion found him guilty and everyone wanted him to pay. Like it was stated earlier he should of kept a low profile and made sure he never crossed the line. I was saying soomething on another site about a show I watched on either Dateline or MSNBC a few years ago. A guy killed his girlfriend, and they tried him without enough evidence and he was found not guilty. A few years later someone bought his old house and found pictures he took of the murder. Since they couldn't retry him they were able to convict him of perjury (he testified in his case) and everything else they could get him for.

I truly am sorry to see him go… However… Bruh made his own bed (with the help of that fucked up jury). You only gonna get so many passes before we let your ass go OJ. Peace.

I don't feel sorry for OJ since he was the idiot who stayed in this country.

I do feel an all white jury is just plain ridiculous not that a black person, for example, would find him any less guilty in this case.

I think it is appropriate to have people of color on jurys so as to assuage any feeling of racial bias which will always be there when you're dealing with a group of white folks against a person of color.
Primarily because of the disgustingly evil history of white people in this country and abroad.

O.J. is fucking stupid. He's away with murder and knows every police is in the country will get his ass if possible and his dumb-ass goes to jail for life for some dumb-shit. What goes around comes around or as the bible says you reap what you sow. O.J, Mike Tyson, Ray Carruth and Michael Vick the 4 dumbest Black men in America

I followed the murder trial close and I was still trying driminal cases at the time. From the second Marcia Cross picked a jury of black women, believing they would be mad at a black man for marrying a white woman, that case was lost. Putting on Mark Furman. Major fail. Bad chain of evidence. Stupid cops. A not guilty finding was exactly what the prosecution deserved for the shoddy work that they did.

That is not to say, that I didn't believe he was guilty. It is that the prosecution f*cked up and that money bought the best defense available. And that is how the system is supposed to work.

O.J. got a get of a jail free card that time and his stupid azz squandered it. He should have known that any violation of the law was going to guarantee a conviction this time. No mistakes. No dropping the ball by the prosecutor this time. I have no sympathy for him.

People like "Jackie" are what is wrong with this country. I guess just because you are black, that gives you the excuse to rob and murder with impunity. And, when someone tries to hold you responsible, you cry "racism," your trump card. Well, in this case, O.J. will receive what is truly coming to him - a LONG prison sentence. Don't forget to write, O.J. - SCUMBAG!

I think OJ issues started long before this.
He forgot where he came from.
He believed his own hype.
He surrounded himself with people that used him.
He made the mistake of thinking that he really belonged in that crowd. Remember, OJ was one of the first true black "celebrities" to crossed over.
He divorced his first wife who was black and married the typical "trophy wife".. blond, thin, big boobs. Something that a lot of black men do when they think they've arrived at a certain level.
He neglected his children from his first marriage.
He wasn't very smart about they way he conducted his life.
And through it all, I think OJ was extremely arrogant and abusive.
The finally got him and I don't think they'll ever let him go.
Everything that has happened at this point is simply karma. He was headed this way all along.

OJ is a dumb ass who needs to be in jail, BUT there is no way in HELL an all white jury could EVER find OJ Simpson not guilty. He could have been charged with the 9/11 attacks and he they would have found him guilty.

I beg to differ with those who say that a white jury would send OJ up the river just because he's black and they're white, that they're truly incapable of being impartial, or that "white" people all roll off the same press and share a brain. As hard as it is to disavow the fact that he's OJ Simpson and everyone in the whole country knows who he is and has an opinion on him, there was too much hard evidence in this case to say that he was guilty. Clearly, a lot of the black people on this site agree that he knew he was breaking the law, and wouldn't give him a pass just because of race.

Rhymeswithsilver…………don't be naive. The "hard" evidence came from Tom Riccio who set up the whole dumb scenario. OJ should've lain low, but being egotistical, he fell right into the trap. He maybe wouldn't have gotten a pass, but I seriously doubt he would have been found guilty of 17 felony charges either. Haven't you seen Fred Goldman and his daughter gloating on TV today? Didn't the prosecution want to call their attorney as a witness in this trial? Please………the whole thing was tainted!

I agree with TXGAL on everything except one:
"OJ didn't forget where he came from"
He ran from it and didn't look back.

It wasn't a all white jury. If you do some reading one female identified herself as hispanic.
