Halle Berry, one of the many Hollywood moms-to-be that are about to burst, talks about how fabulous her pregnancy is in the new In Style. What else is new?
Berry, who is due in March, tells February's In Style magazine, on stands Friday, that "it's a perfect time to be pregnant, because everything in fashion is loose-fitting with an Empire waist."
The 41-year-old mother-to-be even jokes about her situation. "Did you know that they call this a geriatric pregnancy? I cringe when I hear that. I'm like, 'Take that off my chart!' "
In reality, she says the pregnancy has made her look and feel better. "My skin is aglow from all the hormones. I actually wear less makeup now, which is really good. I want to stay pregnant forever."
Never having been pregnant, I can't really judge. But just from anecdotal evidence, I doubt that most women really want a human child inside of their stomach in perpetuity. These celebs are so eccentric.

She needs to stay pregnant. She's never looked better. I kinda liked her before but now I'm a full-blown Stan

I don't think it's being eccentric. Some people look MUCH better pregnant (Heidi Klum) and feel better too. On the other hand, the vast majority of women don't. Bonus points if you bounce back like Halle probably will. Goodness. These women who only gain inches in the waist and chest make me sick.

She looks great on the cover and in the red dress. And I think her long hair is finally growing on me.
She looks like she's carrying low.
"bounce back" means they have strict pregnancy diets, chefs and personal trainers who specialize in pregnant women. We'd all bounce back if we had that stuff. You don't HAVE to put on 50 lbs when pregnant, but most women don't have the resources to not do so.
Women who used to eat healthy no longer do so when pregnant. I'm not going to say it's chef, nutritionist and whoever else. MOST celebrities have those resources and they don't bounce back that quickly. Halle is only carrying her pregnancy weight in her chest and belly. That's d genetics.
Many celebs with those resources still end up eating a ton. Hormones are powerful. Pregnancy doesn't suit everyone. Christina Aguilera for example has looked uncomfortable from day 1. J Lo in spite of her large team has put on at least 25 lbs thus far and only about 10 in chest and belly.
I think it's genetics. You can have all the experts in the world, but if you wake up at 2 a.m. for your Ben & Jerry's with KFC like Leah Remini, you're going to get huge. One of the supermodels who gave birth recently gained 70 lbs. While she's probably just overweight now considering her height and prior weight, that;s a ton of weight to add in 9 mos.
Leah Remini has "i'm going to blow up to 350 lbs in 10 years" written all over her.
Pregnancy = Extra hormones, especially estrogen…leading to smoother skin, firmer boobs, all those lovely lady-like traits. That's not eccentric…
I never felt better than when I was pregnant with my son! I was never sick one day, my skin was flawless, my nails grew beatifully and I was only in labor for 3 hours! But, that said, I don't want to stay pregnant
3 hours??? Big props to your kid making it easy on ya!
