Set your DVR’s, ladies and gents. Hillary Clinton’s going to be on Friday’s Tyra Show. People got some key subject points and quotes from the already-taped interview. Of course, we wouldn’t expect Tyra to talk about issues — I’m sure I don’t have to remind you of Obama’s incredibly cringe-worthy interview on her show a few months ago. This one will be more so, if possible. Why? It seems that Tyra was sort of preoccupied with Bill Clinton and his infidelities.
After surviving such a high-profile affair, Banks noted, women must come up and say, “My husband is stepping out on me,” and ask, ” What is Clinton’s advice?”
“I say you have to be true to yourself,” Clinton said. “No one story is the same as any other story. I don’t know your reality. I can’t possibly substitute my judgment for yours. … You have to do what is right for you and that may not be what anybody else believes.”
In lighter, less awkward news, Hillary and Tyra discussed what Bill will be called if she makes it into the White House. I’m sure Hillary’s never gotten that question before.
What will be Bill called if Hillary is President? I’m guessing he’ll be called her ex-husband. LMAO!!!
Why am I finding it kinda demeaning for Barack and Hillary to have to do the Tyra show? It seems really down market to me.
I actually watched an episode of Tyra last night, and I had so many mixed emotions - disappointment, wonder (as she interjects a story about herself at least 3x a segment), sadness…
@ BMD - agreed. It’s not Meet The Press. They won’t discuss issues…I’m sure they’ll touch on hair products though.
She doesn’t realize that she talks about herself that much. I never do until my friends tell me I am. See. I just did it. It’s a sign of a narcissist.
Yeah, Tyra does talk about herself too much. I’m guilty of the same thing plus I have a habit of dominating convos. I don’t see my case as narcissism though, LOL! I’m working on it though.
I think Tyra tries too hard to downplay her celebrity by pointing out how she’s as normal as everyone else.
Embrace your narcissism, Jersey.
Life is much easier that way. LOL.
bmd, the Argentinian president’s husband (who is the former president) is called the “first gentleman.”
She’s had these two on. I hope she has the republican candidates on. That is must-see TV. For Giuliani, his own infidelity and his children hating him. For Romney and Edwards, she’d ask how they get that flippy (I call it “Kennedy” as in JFK and JFK Jr, not Ted) hair. For Huckabee, she’d ask how good it feels to be able to shop in regular store now that he’s not a butterball.
I don’t see the US press being that kind to the Big Dog. One can only imagine the nicknames he’ll get.
I’m sure Hillary thought to herself ‘Damn, I had no idea Tyra’s forehead was that big’.
Classic Tyra narcissistic moment: Molly Sims is discussing working with orphans in a developing country. Tyra interjects to say that she too had a life-changing moment when she was called fat.
*blank stare*
summer - I didn’t see that. Well…I’ve never watched her show, but that story is hilarious. I’m clearly missing out.
summer- WOW. I’m going to look that up on YouTube later. I hope it’s on there.

Is it wrong that part of me expected Tyra to start screaming, “So what?! SO! WHAT!”
Tyra is such a joke. She is so obnoxiously self-absorbed it’s TOTALLY ridiculous…she’s a pain in the a-s-s. Why is Hillary on that show?
The funny thing is that there are some sites (I’m looking at you CNN political ticker) where the posters are really ripping into her for going on the show. Apparently these supporters of another candidate, who shall remain nameless, don’t know that he went on her show, too.
Yea, tricks are for kids.
I was lucky enough to have been a guest on that Particular show!!! (I was maybe three feet away from Hillary) Tyra helped Hillary look more human than ever. Some issues were spoken of, so before you judge the show, watch it first. Tyra wasn’t self absorbed at all, FYI. She talked to the audience off camera like we were her friends, so to me I have a newfound respect and admiration for Ms.Banks! Hillary actually wasn’t as negative towards other candidates as the press makes her out to be. I feel she’ll be a good contender for the presidential race. Also, she spent maybe a minute and a half on the friggin Bill/Monica issue, why does the press sensationalize the meaningless bull?
