New disaster in "the dark continent"! Scandalous woman of means Paris Hilton toured a school in South Africa yesterday, just as she warned everyone she would. The Great White Dope touched black toddlers, let them touch her and handed out autographed photos of herself in a bikini. Charity? Not at all; this is a private school and all these kids are rich, rich, rich. Hilton's there to fish for compliments and give the older girls eating disorders. She's really great, isn't she?

1) Of all the countries in Africa, South Africa sure as hell wouldn't be my place to start. They are pretty much WAY better off than the surrounding countries. I suppose if you're looking for a rich school to tour, gorgeous beaches and safaris, it's the place to go. That or the Zanzibar and Mt. Kili parts of Tanzania. If people did
2) No one gets as much attention as this girl gets and it's pathetic.
3) If she wants to do something I'll applaud, she should do what she does best and have unprotected sex with those boys from Freedom University.

She could have spent the day shopping on Robertson Blvd. Plus, she hasn't been in the public eye anywhere near as much as she was before she did time (days) in jail.
Maybe Paris is changing.

Oh, btw, there's a difference from a publicity campaign (Paris, Jessica Simpson) and an actual interest. David Beckham (children), Charlize Theron (HIV/AIDS), Drew Barrymore (something about Kenya), Kristin Davis (food program), Lucy Liu, Prince Harry (something about Lesotho), Cameron Diaz (environment) and Naomi Campbell all got very little attention.

Hell, Bono, Brangelina, Clooney and Madonna don't get this much attention. Angelina went to Iraq while pregnant for refugee something or other and that was only a side story in People.
