It's 50, Bitch

50 Cent on how rappers are held to different standards than fallen pop stars:

"I guess they have their rules that apply individually to each artist separately: 'Oh no, he can't say that, 'cause he feels like that about that person,' " he said. "But it's not a rule that applies to everybody else. Matter of fact, my next single, I'm going to start it [with], 'It's Britney, bitch!' "

Oh please. Nobody knows what Britney was singing. 50s jaw was pretty much dropped while that trainwreck was doing what she does best at the VMAs: looking like a damn fool. Perhaps if he got a bad weave, gained 20 lbs of pure fat, looked like his team abandoned him and mumbled through a performance, then no one would know what the hell he was saying.

I feel him though, for once. If a rapper started his song with, "It's _____, bitch!," that joint would be censored or they would make him change it. But that's how it's played on the radio for Britney…he's just pointing out how unfair it is.

**I usually don't agree with 50.**

*If* 50 mumbled through a performance?

Doesn't he mumble through everything?

Well, I can still understand him.

I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV so I don't even know if he has a point. Do they not sensor Britney's songs? I know they didn't for the VMAs which struck me as odd but I chucked it up to them not knowing the lyrics. Her terrible performance drew lots of attention away from that though.
