In fairness to Jolie (who incidentally was Marianne Pearl's own choice to play her),
Pearl is mixed race, and I do know a few people who always assumed that Jolie was too, at least until saying it out loud and having everyone looking at them like they were deranged.

i agree with 1wing and i'm a black female. sometimes i think blacks let too much get to them. sometimes some stuff can simply be ignored.
