Kanye West Tortures The Greatest

aliwithshades

Yep, that's The College Dropout dancing victoriously over an aged, anemic Muhammad Ali, whom West has adorned with those absolutely ridiculous shutter shades. We think there's a metaphor for the decline of Western civilization somewhere in there, but right now we're too depressed to suss it out.

Why is he doing that…? Take those stupid shades off Ali, Kanye. Really, take them off, period.

I am laughing at that photo but deep inside I know I should not.

It's almost like elder abuse but for all we know, Ali could of really been into it.

Laila, I know you pregnant and all, but please handle this fool! Kanye needs to stop making the legend part of his buffoonery.

What is wrong with people?! I would beat the $hit out of someone if they that to my loved ones.

Ali should be used as a cautionary tale for anyone dumb enough to get into boxing.

No. The many boxers that have died in the ring should be the cautionary tales.

I think dying in the ring may be a better outcome, than turning into a spood fed vegatable.

Well, he got to see his kids grow up. It's funny. Didn't think he took enough punches in his career for this to happen to him.

Ali is still the greatest and Kanyetta is still an absurd bafoon. I would love to see Ali give that puss a little rope a dope and introduce him to his little friend the right hook.

I saw a documentary a few weeks ago and Laiia Ali talked about the "state" of her father. She said that she likes to see him in the mornings before he takes his medication because he is coherent and he the man she remembers. It is only after the medication that he appears and talks the way he does.

That picture was probably taken well out of context. Who knows what brought it about. I think it will be blown out of proportion (already has been?) and maybe be taken in as a reflection of our generation…of the new generation of a youth that doesn’t respect it’s elders (which to an extent is true)

The caption reads “Kanye West Tortures The Greatest”

The picture is of Two Celebrities hanging out. Ali is never quoted in the article as saying “He was pissing me off, makin me wears these silly glasses.”

Nowhere does it read “Kanye West was seen holding Cassius down while placing glasses on him, and then shouting “I’m gonna do the Robot over your grave, old man.”

It’s a picture.

THIS is the kind of “reporting” that makes me hate everything the media thinks it stands for. The blogger responsible for writing this is the assclown responsible for “the Decline of Western Civilization” for making shit up based on a picture.

It’s a picture of an overhyped rapper and an irrelevant sports icon hanging out together. Big fucking deal.

Thanks Chic Noir & Anya123.

I just think we live in a made up fantasy world that doesn't exist. Just because Ali's nickname is "the greatest" (and Wayne Gretzky, despite being "The Great One" was still never as good a hockey player as Bobby Orr) doesn't mean he can't wear retro sunglasses.

And the act of wearing those sunglasses shouldn't in anyway be taken as negative in nature.

So what's depressing? That maybe Kanye placed them on his head?

All of this is made up. It's invented by our imaginative brains. We take pictures as literally as we see them, even though life never stops in a moment like pictures do.
