Kilpatrick Will Face Fewer Charges If He Resigns As Mayor

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick got an interesting offer from the city's prosecutor today. Doug Baker said the city will drop one of the two assault charges slapped on the mayor after he roughed up process servers if he resigns from office by Sept. 3. Kilpatrick's attorney's answer? "We're preparing for trial." And the city of Detroit continues to suffer… [MSNBC]

He's a lawyer. Will he lose his pension or something if he resigns? It's not just that easy. He's looking at this from all angles… legal finagling, backroom deals, dirt he's got on other people… you can be sure.

Kwame doesn't want to resign because he will be fully vested soon. the longer he drains our tax dollars for this ridamndiculous circus, the better for him. he is a disgusting greedy pig and i can't wait for karma to come around and really kick his butt.
