In a study released yesterday by the Justice Policy Institute, researchers analyzed drug arrest data from 200 counties and ranked them based on the disparity between the number of blacks arrested for drug crimes vs. the number of whites. It comes as no surprise that many counties, both big and small, have criminally high disparities. Both the Chicago and Bay Areas were high on the list.
