Charles Barkley sat down with CNN's Campbell Brown last night to talk politics and discuss his plans to run for governor of his birth state. He's been talking about it for a while, but it sounds like Barkley is officially going to try to make it happen in Alabama in 2014. He feels good about it, mainly because, as he says, there's not much he could do to screw up Alabama at this point.
It's not going to have any effect realistically on my life who the president is. The reason I am supporting the Democratic Party, I think it is a bona fide tragedy what has happened to poor people in this country and the gap between the rich and the poor is wider than it has ever been. You got this bailout situation, I just think it's a travesty… I plan [running for governor of Alabama] in 2014.., I am [serious], I can't screw up Alabama… We are number 48 in everything and Arkansas and Mississippi aren't going anywhere.
Go for it, Chuck!!!
I guess Obama could have that attitude- things couldn't get worse. Thank God he doesn't!
Honestly, I think he could do it with the right people behind him. He speaks a lot of sense and he has a good leadership qualities
