L'Oreal Flack Responds To Beyonce Skin-Lightening Rumors

Despite the fact that Beyonce looks like she just emerged from a lengthy stay in a sun-deprivation chamber in her new L'Oreal Feria ad, reps from the beauty company deny that they lightened her skin color in any way.

"It is categorically untrue that L'Oréal Paris altered Ms. Knowles' features or skin-tone in the campaign for Feria hair color," the rep said in a statement.

"Beyonce Knowles has been a spokesperson for the L'Oréal Paris brand since 2001. We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles."

It's mainly the lighting, but I know they messed with the contrast and brightness of the photo to pull off her "Creole" look. :D

Lighting, ok. But her nose looks lengthened and more "Caucasian" to me compared to candid shots I've seen of her.

If they really valued their relationship with her, they'd let her be a black woman!

Isn't the whole idea of Beyoncé doing a hair-dye ad sort of ridiculous anyway? Isn't what we're seeing a weave or a wig, like Tyra?

That is so not Beyonce's nose. We all know it. I guess they called themselves giving her a more aqualine nose but they really gave her a honker.

I saw an ad of Kerry Washington in a black British hair magazine. They really did a job on Kerry. Loreal can not deny what they did to Kerry, like they are trying to do with Beyonce. They made her a lot lighter and knocked the negro from her features.

It's always been scandalous when it comes to blacks promoting beauty products. Like Gabrielle Union got a haircut and all of a sudden she slapped the weave back in….is no one comfortable in their own skin.

Whatever L'Oreal did to Beyonce in that ad (and it was a lot), she was more than complicit in it.

She look's offly pale in this photo. It seems like they did lighten her skin (i've seen other ads for her w/ L'Oreal, and she was darker), or maybe that hair color makes her skin color look lighter.

I thought that was her skin colour. The again, I do not stare at her for hours on end like the rest of the world

Solitare- She does not get the last say. Very few artists or movie stars do, no matter how big they get.

@M- She usually looks a little darker but their are times when she is very light. I think we can all agree that they did something to the face. That is not Beyonce's face.

She does look lighter, but as I've said before, she does have a close relationship with Ambi. She's looked as light as this before in candids.

As for her nose, it's the angle and I'm not the first to say she has a nose job. It's not an ethnicity obliterating one, but it's far more Eurocentric than her nose circa 1999.
