A lot of people came to Tiger Woods' defense recently for his use of "Cablinasian" to define his racial makeup. I make fun of it, but I honestly don't care what Tiger Woods calls himself. Others said that calling yourself Cablinasian is one thing, but deliberately downplaying or outright ignoring the part of you that's black is another. Now that his camp has released a statement that totally blows off Kelly Tilghman's controversial quip about Tiger Woods getting lynched in a back alley, that latter group's argument just got stronger.
Mark Steinberg, Woods' agent, issued a statement declaring the uproar regarding lynching and the first black golfer to win a major title was not a major concern.
"This story is a non-issue," Steinberg said. "Tiger and Kelly are friends and Tiger has a great deal of respect for Kelly. Regardless of the choice of words used we know unequivocally that there was no ill-intent in her comments.
"This story is a non-issue in our eyes. Case closed."
Maybe you have to be more in touch with your "bl" side to understand that lynching jokes aren't really appropriate. [AFB]

I've never seen a black man go through such lengths to be disassociated from the black race. He's worse than Carlton from Fresh Prince. This man will be shaking his head disclaiming any black blood in his body while they put that same noose around his neck. The crazy thing about is WHITE people are the ones who won't stop labeling him black. I honestly don't think our community wants to even claim his trifling self, but white people reject him at every opportunity neccessary.

Even if she would had said take him to a back alley and shoot him, I'm not so sure I'd be cool with her after that…
Not to say that he had to be mad about it, that's his prerogative, but to completely absolve her of any wrongdoing shows a weak personality to me.
The lynching part matters only to black people, so since Tiger truly doesn't even acknowledge his blackess, then I think the comment should not be viewed as racist. We should not be offended on this fool's behalf.
