Mariah Carey Offers Some Sage Wisdom To The Up-And-Comers

Mariah Carey, who admits she has absolutely no desire to speak to Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears, does have a few words of advice for Linds and Brit types in the new issue of Glamour.

When asked by Glamour what words of advice she would give Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, she replied, "I wouldn't want to speak to those people specifically, but I would say you need to be very centered, and spiritually know where you're at, all the time. Don't read the tabloids. Don't be obsessed with what people are writing or saying. Live your life for you. My lifestyle has changed since making it. It's not a financial struggle, but I'm still struggling in a lot of ways."

Well, all know that there are more struggles than just financial ones. But when the money part is never an issue, it does make things a little easier, doesn't it?

At least Britney and Lindsay aren't waiting for a man to rescue them.

Britney and Lindsay drug problems are probably the result of the men in their lives and wanting to be saved.
Both have had horrible relationships with their fatheres, both have made horrible decisions about the men they choose to hook-up with, and Britney hit skid row when her marriage broke up and some say Linday hasn't been the same since Wilmer dumped her…

So Mariah, Britney and Lindsay all have a lot in common…Mariah just didn't hook up with the dope man.

I will accept that having a bad relationship with your father results in making poor relationship choices, but I have a hard time believing it's responsible for Mariah's lack of a grasp on reality or drug abuse. The fact that you didn't have that security blanket or whatever you want to call a good father makes me believe that you should not expect anyone to rescue you.
