Alright, this is getting kind of ridiculous now. Melanie Brown claims she knew her new husband, Stephen Belafonte, had some domestic violence issues with his previous wife. But does she know that he once killed a duck? In New Jersey? And never paid the fine?
The film producer, 32, was found guilty of an animal control charge after he admitted of throwing a brick at a mallard outside his home in Point Pleasant, according to British newspaper The Sun.
An Ocean County court spokeswoman said: "A warrant has been issued over unpaid fines and costs relating to an animal control offense. He will be arrested if he returns to the area."
Belafonte, who wed the Spice Girl in secret in June, admitted attacking his ex-partner Nicole Contreras and was given a suspended jail sentence.
As interesting as it is that Belafonte might have to avoid Point Pleasant, NJ for the rest of his life so that he doesn't get arrested for an outstanding duck slaying charge, it has become very clear that the guy has some crucial anger management problems.

Is it true that he changed his last name to Belafonte so people would think that he's related to Harry?
Mel, boo, you need to pack his bags and get an annulment. Go get some therapy to deal with whatever it is that makes you go for bad men because it's not just you you're messing up now. There are two little girls looking up to this mess.
Eddie, Mel and this Belafante-fool are all screwed up ppl so let them have each other. Forget her kids….like so many other children, they were born to an insecure, selfish, crazy woman. Her daughters are doomed to repeat the cycle probably. Does anyone know what Mel's mother is like? Probably crazy just like her. It's a cycle.
As far as I know, Mel's mother is a really sweet woman from Leeds (Northern England), her father is British/Jamaican and her parents have been happily married for a while now. (They might have divorced recently, not sure).
I remember watching a British documentary on the Spice Girls (obviously a few years ago) and her parents were talking about her upbringing, in the once very racist city of Leeds, where it was rare to see interracial couples and black men used to get beaten up a lot.
After Mel was born, her mom said, if all three of them were out and about, she'd purposefully make the father hold Mel as this was the only way she could guarantee he wouldn't get hurt, if he had a child in his hand.
This is completely irrelevant to the post but I thought it was an interesting anecdote, nonetheless.
There are many unhappily married couples. I don't think Mel's a bad person. I think she's a little screwed up. If her childhood didn't do it, then fame and lots of money too young did it.
She could be doing worse. Look at Britney. Case closed.
^^very true.
She has more money and opportunities than I'll ever have so I'm done feeling sorry for her. She needs to get her situation together and take (another) vacation.
Well, I feel bad for Mel (and Britney and Lindsay and all their f-ed up friends EXCEPT Paris) because they are walking examples that money cannot buy happiness.
