Michael Jackson Suffering For His Art

Michael Jackson is back in the studio, fans! This time, it's not just to make some half-assed remixes for the re-release of one of his famous albums, it's actually to make an album. I didn't think he did that anymore. The reason (according to Page Six)? Pop's Peter Pan needs some money — and fast.

He is so serious about this new album that he has apparently forbidden his children from entering the studio and, says one source "sworn off women" until he's done recording. Uh huh. Isn't that sort of like a crack addict swearing off cigarettes? True artists sacrifice so much for their craft. [PS]

i don't buy this article for one second. IF MJ is recording a new album, it's because he wants to record a new album. Not because he needs some "quick cash" - if he needed to make a quick 10-$20 million he could just sign on to do a few shows somewhere in the world - if Dubai is paying Madonna $25 million, Mike could easily make twice that considering how popular he is in the Middle East.
