You Better Work...that low-wage job

• A little post-Labor day news to depress you or inspire you to contribute to a scholarship fund: more than half of Black Americans work in low paying jobs, lack benefits, and hit a glass-ceiling when they try to move ahead. [CST]

• Kanye West doesn't care about British strippers. [EUR]

• If someone was paying me $3,000 to do it, I would probably have an easier time losing weight. [BS]

• Vermont might be on odd state for a WWII museum honoring the contributions of blacks, but it's still nice that its there. [BG]

• Have you ever donated blood? A new group is saying that more black people should. [HC]

Good for Yung Joc, at least someone's losing weight. I'm eating Cheez-Its as I read this at work

If someone offered me $3,000 to lose weight right now, I'd take off early from work and jog home (in flip flops). I'd just leave my car here.

The number of black ppl working in low-wage jobs is going to sky rocket in the next 10 years. Let's not forget that 50% of us are dropping out of high school. We need to fix that problem ASAP.

Yung Joc should get in touch with Keenan Thompson, and share his secrets. Help a brother out haha. For real though, the article about poor wages, is exactly why I am getting into education. Our children need better guidance. Better role models than cats in videos on BET. Most of them get caught slippin', tryin'to be Tony Montana…and they wind up just like him.
